Become part of Simone and Yvonne Klaxon’s cheeky world. The two sisters will take you on a 40 kilometre route which is not for the faint hearted! Got toned legs and a refurbed bike? Get on the wheel of these two hotheads.

Parnay - Château de Parnay
Perched on the heights, the vineyards of Domaine de Parnay rise over 35 hectares of clay-limestone soil, which gives the wines remarkable qualities!

 

Turquant - Château de la Fessardière
The Château de la Fessardière in Turquant is at the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. Discover this incredible castle and its cathedral-like cellars that contain some wine-related vestiges.

Fontevraud L'abbaye - Abbaye de Fontevraud
The picturesque town is home to the famous Abbey, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its Museum of Modern Art. You will have the chance to discover this essential site while enjoying a refreshing glass of Bouvet Ladubay.

Montsoreau - Bords de Loire
Explore the typical village of Montsoreau, labeled among the most beautiful villages in France. You will share a friendly and gourmet moment with a breathtaking view of the Loire.

Turquant - Les Pommes Tapées du Val de Loire
This stop will allow you to enjoy the coolness of the caves dug by the "perreyeux". It's an opportunity to discover the history of Pommes Tapées, a quintessential Anjou product!
Souzay-Champigny - Les troglodytes
The Troglodytes will make you experience a timeless moment. An essential heritage of the region, these cavities have a rich history. Marvel at these impressive natural monuments.

Saumur - Château de Saumur
Finish your hike on the historic route of the Valley of the Kings. Admire the grandeur of the castle overlooking Saumur and indulge in one last lively swing dance with a glass of sparkling wine from Louis de Grenelle in hand!

What your ticket includes

  • A gorgeous saddle bag and a tasting glass
  • A passport giving you access to 7 check points, including one where you can refuel with a hot lunch. After all your hard work on the bike, you’ll be able to try regional specialities during these stops.
  • Access to incredible sites, so keep your eyes peeled and drink in the views!
  • The sound of music groups will get you dancing. Listen carefully and you’ll hear notes of swing music floating through the hillsides.

Don't forget your water bottle !

Water bottles have been removed from the Anjou Vélo Vintage routes in favor of water stations for your refreshment. Reserve your water bottle bearing the events colours (available for pick-up when you collect your race bib) or remember to bring your own!
